Thatcher, Clifford D., age 83, a longtime resident of Millis, died on Thursday morning,
June 17, 2010, at Tufts Medical Center after a long illness. Born on September 26, 1926,
he was a 1944 graduate of Millis High School. He graduated from Harvard University in 1952.
He served as a navigator on a B-29 that flew medical evacuations out of the Philippines
during World War II. He was a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force during the Korean War.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, 82 Exchange
Street, Millis, on Wednesday, June 23rd at 10:00a.m. Burial with military honors will follow
at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at the Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home,
90 Curve Street, Millis, on Tuesday 4 – 8p.m.
If desired, donations may be made in Cliff’s
memory to the U.S. fund for UNICEF, Revenue Processing, 125 Maiden Lane, New York, NY 10038.
