Frank A Hamm 81 of Millis, Ma also known as “Bud” to his friends and “Bumpa” to his grandchildren, passed away on January 7, 2010 at Milford Regional Hosp surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Millis, Ma to the late Frank and Edith (Simpson) Hamm. Bud proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1946-1948. He was honorable discharged and is a member of the American Legion Post 208 and the Amvets Post 495 of Millis, Medway VFW Post 1526. His enjoyed his woodworking and crafts but most of all spending time with his family and friends. Bud retired from Rosenfeld Concrete of Hopedale Bud is survived by his wife of 59 years, Irene (Snow) Hamm. In additions to his wife he is survived by his four children: Frank Jr (Sandy) and his wife Ilene of Millis, Jacqueline Williams of Northbridge, Phillip Hamm and his companion Christene Pozzi of Millis, and Edith McNeil and her husband Tom of East Brookfield, and his sister Wilma Simmler and her husband James of Grafton. He will be dearly missed by his 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces ,and nephews.
On Saturday Jan 23 2010 Frank (Buddy) Hamm will be buried at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Millis at 12 noon. Following the ceremony a colation will be held at the Post 208 Legion Hall at 136 Curve St in Millis. All Post members are asked to attend in full uniform.
